Dodge Robotics Begins

Dodge Elementary and Robbins Schools are teaming up again this year to provide a dynamic Robotics Club at each of the respective schools.  Technology Support Teachers from each school are spearheading this endeavor.  With the use of distance learning equipment, the two clubs will collaborate with each other on a regular basis as well as attend virtual field trips to learn more about Robotics.  The students will work together to build robots, program them to do specific tasks, and then enter into the Regional Computer Fair at Faulkner State Community College in March 2010. 

The first Robotic meeting for the 2009-2010 shool year was held on October 14th in the Dodge Computer lab. Students participated in team building activities, formed construction teams and begin to sort the building materials. It was a fun and productive meeting.
